Bryn Athyn, Pa. - Bryn Athyn College (BAC) will pay tribute to their 1972 Ice Hockey Championship Team on Friday, December 12 at 8 pm in the college's Jungé Pavillion.
The 1972 team was the first team in the college's conference history to advance all the way and claim the title. BAC has invited the 1972 team back to the ice hockey arena for a commemorative ceremony which will include a raising of a championship banner.
After the alumni team is recognized, the current BAC ice hockey team will take the ice against Rowan University. Both teams will meet as members of the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHA).
This game will also be celebrated as one of BAC's "Bed Sheet Banner Night." BAC students compete for prizes (and bragging rights) for decorating the most creative and spirited banners. Students decorate actual bed sheets and hang them in support of the Bryn Athyn Lions.
The Jungé Pavillion is located on Bryn Athyn College's campus at 2945 College Drive, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009. This event is free and open to the public.
