#3 Men's Ice Hockey Takes Down #12 Loyola 9-2

Warwick, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey took down number 12 Loyola 9-2 in the last game of the Empire Classic. 

Travis McCurdy led the Lions with three goals. Anthony Notofrancesco notched two goals. Terrence Johnson, Kyle Jennings and Benjamin Silvers scored a goal and two assists each.  

Bryn Athyn took command of the game right off the horn, Billy Reilly scored two minutes into the first period to put the Lions on the board.  Notofrancesco scored 40 seconds later off a pass from Jayson Marbach and Justin Nugget.  Bryn Athyn would go into the first period break up 2-0.  

McCurdy scored two back-to-back goals in the first five minutes of the second period.  Greyhounds got on the board at the 14-minute mark to chip away at the Bryn Athyn 4-1 lead.  The Lions scored two more goals going into the second period break to build their lead to 6-1. 

Johnson scored off a pass from Jennings to build their lead to 7-1, in the first two minutes of the third period.  Greyhounds scored their second goal of the game at the 14-minute mark.  Bryn Athyn secured their win with two more goals in the third to win the game 9-2.

Steven Altman made 22 saves in net for the Lions.

Bryn Athyn starts their home campaign against Delaware in DVCHC action, December 5th at 8:00 pm.
