#3 Men's Ice Hockey Falls to #8 Farmingdale State 7-5

­­­­­­­­­Warwick, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College Men's Ice Hockey fell to number eight Farmingdale State, 7-5 in Saturday afternoon non-conference action.

Terrence Johnson and Jayson Marbach scored a goal and an assist each.  Kyle Jennings, Travis McCurdy and Anthony Notofrancesco, scored a goal each.  Justin Nugent added with two assists. 

Jennings put the Lions on the board, with a goal three minutes into the first after crashing the net off a shot from Benjamin Silvers.  Rams tied the game with two minutes left in the period going into the break.

Farmingdale scored two goals to take a 3-1 lead, with 10 minutes left in the second.  Marbach scored off a loose puck, picked up by Feyler in the neutral zone to bring the Lions within one going into the second period break. 

The Rams rebuilt a two goal lead six minutes into the third, off a dumped puck into the slot.  McCurdy answered with the goal, off a pass from Johnson from the right side corner to bring the game within one.  Farmingdale scored two more goala within four minutes to extend their lead.  Bryn Athyn scored two goals themselves, from Johnson and  Notofrancesco to bring the game within one.  With minutes left in the game, the Lions pull their goalie, for an extra player, but the Rams score on the empty net to secure their win.

Graham Lermitte made 27 saves in net for the Lions.

Bryn Athyn will play #12 Loyola tomorrow at 2:15 pm in the final game of the Empire Classic.
