Bryn Athyn, Pa.-The Bryn Athyn Women's Basketball team starts the 2014-15 season this weekend as they travel to Centenary in New Jersey for their first game. The Lions have a lot to look forward this season returning nine players from last year and several vital additions to their team. Also returning this season are assistant coaches Renata Boodhansingh, a standout from West Chester University, and Brittany Mcleod a Carbrini College graduate. The Lions are led by their head Coach Kayla Felty in her second year with the team.

Coach Felty had this to say about the team in anticipation for this upcoming season…"As a team, in our second season, we are looking to strive for a berth in the NEAC playoffs. This will be our first season competing in a conference and the team is looking forward to the opportunity to play for a conference title. After having a successful first season with a roster of all freshman, we will now shift our focus in our second season to competing where the stakes are higher, where every game means something. We are excited to see our two newcomers compete and contribute immediately. With a team comprised of all freshman and sophomores, the future looks bright for Bryn Athyn."

The season still contains some firsts for the Lions as it is their first season in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC). They will compete in the south division which includes Lancaster Bible, Galludet, St. Elizabeth, Penn St.-Berks, Penn St.-Abington, and Wilson.

This weekend they will take on the New Jersey City Knights for their first game, the Knights completed 9-16 season in 2013-14. Tipoff is a 4pm.
