Pittsburgh, PA. - The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team fell on the road to Robert Morris 3-1 in non conference action.
Both teams exchanges chances to take the lead in in the first, but the first period ended 0-0. The Colonials out shot the Lions 13-10 in the period.
Robert Morris scored the lone goal in the second to take the lead. Bryn Athyn couldn't captialize on their offensive rushes and would go into the third period trailing by one goal.
Bryn Athyn tied the game 1-1 on the penalty kill, five minutes into the second. Danny Triesler came down the left side of the offensive zone, took a shot on goal and Scott Witmyer scored top shelf off the rebound. Robert Morris retook the lead nine minutes later, off a loose puck in the neutral zone.
The Lions pulled the goalie with a minute left in the third period. RMU scored from the neutral zone to win the game 3-1.
The Lions return to the ice Sunday afternoon for game two against Robert Morris at 12:00 pm.
