ROSEMONT, Pa. – A strong performance in the Lions' first win of the season allowed Bryn Athyn College senior Matheus Souza to earn the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men's soccer offensive player of the week award Monday.
In Bryn Athyn's 5-1 home victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Sept. 13, Souza recorded his first collegiate hat-trick, including the game-winning goal. It was Souza's first multi-game goal since a two-goal performance against SUNY Poly on Oct. 1, 2016.
Souza is currently sitting fifth in the CSAC with three goals and sixth with six points, both team highs.
Bryn Athyn (1-5-0) travels to Gwynedd Mercy University for a non-conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.
