Complete 2018 Bryn Athyn Men's Soccer Schedule

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. -- The Bryn Athyn men's soccer team kicks off its 17-match 2018 season on Friday, August 31 when the Lions travel to Penn State Harrisburg for the season opener. The schedule, announced by head coach Bill O'Neill on Wednesday, features seven home games and a new set of conference opponents as Bryn Athyn enters its first season in the Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC).

After wrapping up the first weekend of the season with a road game on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Lancaster Bible, Bryn Athyn plays its first home game of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 5 when it faces former conference foe Penn State Abington. Then, the team travels to Long Island to challenge Old Westbury on Saturday, Sept. 8 and is back on the road for an away match against Immaculata on Monday, Sept. 10. 

Fans can catch the Lions in their return to General Ronald K. Nelson Field for a pair of non-conference home games on Thursday, Sept. 13 against Penn State Lehigh Valley and Saturday, Sept. 15 versus DeSales.

The homestand is followed up by three straight road games that include the Lions' debut CSAC match. After facing Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday, Sept. 19, Bryn Athyn begins conference play at Rosemont on Saturday, Sept. 22. The string of road matches ends on Wednesday, Sept. 26 when the Lions take on Neumann.

Bryn Athyn returns home on Saturday, Sept. 29 to play last year's CSAC Championship runner-up, Keystone. The Lions remain at home on Friday, October 5 to face King's (Pa.). The Lions head back on the road to take on Albright in Bryn Athyn's final non-conference game of the year on Thursday, Oct. 11.

To celebrate Charter Day Weekend, Lion fans can watch Bryn Athyn face conference foe Wilson, who also made the jump from the North Eastern Athletic Conference to the CSAC, on Saturday, October 13. The final home game of the regular season takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 17, against CSAC opponent Centenary (N.J.).

The season concludes with two final conference matches, at Clarks Summit on Saturday, Oct. 23, and Cairn on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The Lions completed 2017 with a 5-11-0 record.
