GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced today that Bryn Athyn College's , Damilare Adeleye, has been named the league's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, Sept 6th.
The junior goalkeeper helped the Lions open the season with a 2-1 record, which included a pair of shutouts. Adeleye made a pair of stops in Bryn Athyn's season-opening 2-0 win over Valley Forge last Tuesday before racking up another save to secure a 3-0 win over Hunter College Saturday. He also stopped three shots in a tough 1-0 loss that came on a second-half penalty kick goal against Cairn Sunday, leaving him with a 0.45 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage in 200 minutes of action for the week.
