GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Bryn Athyn College sophomore goalie Brad DePasquale was selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) defensive player of the week by the conference office Monday.
DePasquale—the NEAC defensive player of the week for the first time this season and the second time in his career—had a strong week in the Lion crease as he stopped 66.7 percent of the shots on goal he faced and posted a 7.46 goals against average. His strongest performance came in Bryn Athyn's 9-6 victory at SUNY Poly on April 28, stopping 16 of the 22 shots on goal that came his way. DePasquale recorded 10 saves on 17 shots in a 19-8 triumph at Keuka three days earlier.
This season DePasquale is 8-6 with a 9.04 goals against average, 138 saves, and a 54.3 save percentage. He is third in the NEAC in save percentage, wins, and goals against average and fourth in saves.
Bryn Athyn (8-6, 7-1 NEAC) is hosting Hilbert College in the NEAC Tournament semifinals on Wednesday, May 2 at 4 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
