BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team will host its first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament game when the Lions welcome Hilbert College to General Ronald K. Nelson Field for a semifinal round matchup on Wednesday, May 2 at 4 p.m.
The Lions went 8-6 during the regular season and earned the number two seed for the NEAC Tournament after posting a 7-1 mark in conference play. Bryn Athyn enters the tournament on a six-game winning streak.
Bryn Athyn is making its third straight appearance in the NEAC Tournament. Last season, Bryn Athyn was upended by host Cazenovia in the semifinals. 13-10. The Lions reached the conference tournament for the first time in 2016 and was defeated by top seed and eventual conference champion Morrisville State, 14-8.
The Lions have won the last three matches against Hilbert, including a 13-7 triumph over the Hawks on April 7 in Eden, N.Y. Nolan Frame scored five times for Bryn Athyn, while Cameron Leech racked up four goals and seven assists.
Hilbert ended the regular season with a 9-5 overall record and went 6-2 against the NEAC to earn third seed. The Hawks are in the tournament field for the first time in four years.
On the other side of the bracket, top seed and three-time defending champion Morrisville State will host ?.
The winners will square off for the NEAC title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 5 at the highest seed remaining.
