BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team will make its 2018 General Ronald K. Nelson Field debut when the Lions play host to Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) on Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lions opened 2018 with an 8-4 loss at Gwynedd Mercy University on February 28. Jon Carr led the offensive attack with a pair of goals. Nolan Bosserman and Nolan Frame both added a goal each. In his Bryn Athyn debut, Cameron Leech was credited with a pair of assists.

Mount Saint Mary picked up its first win of the season after powering past Western Connecticut 17-9 to even its record at 1-1. The Knights led 11-8 after three quarters and then outscored the Colonels 6-1 in the fourth in pull away for the win. Danny Kugler scored five times, while Dylan De Meo recorded three goals.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday is the third all-time meeting, first since 2014, between the Lions and Knights. Mount Saint Mary leads the series 2-0, 1-0 at Bryn Athyn. In the first meeting, the Knights defeated the host Lions 11-9 on April 9, 2013 in Bryn Athyn. Mount Saint Mary picked up a 10-5 home victory over Bryn Athyn in the rematch on April 17, 2014.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
The Lions are 3-2 in home openers, including wins in each of the last three seasons. Bryn Athyn is 15-16 all-time in home games, 11-3 under head coach Tucker Durkin.

Jon Carr has scored two or more goals in 14 of the 17 games, including the last seven, he has appeared in for the Lions.

After his two assist-performance at Gwynedd Mercy, Cameron Leech has multiple assists in four straight games going back to April 22, 2017 when he played for York (Pa.).

Nolan Frame is now up to 121 goals, a program-record, with his goal on Wednesday

Brad DePasquale made 12 saves against the Griffins and now has 12 games with at least 10 saves. He also led the team with four ground balls.

Bryn Athyn was 1-for-3 in man-up situations in the season opener. The Lions were 17-for-21 on clear attempts, while the Griffins were 15-for-19.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Mount Saint Mary is averaging 14.00 goals and allowing 10.50 goals after the first week of the season. The Knights are 4-for-8 on man-up opportunities, 3-for-7 against the Colonels. The team had a 91.4 percent (32-of-35) clear percentage while holding opponents to a clear percentage of 64.7 percent (22-of-34).

Danny Kugler is the Knights' top scorer with nine games and one assist through two matches. He had four goals and one assist in the opener at Marywood and five goals against Western Connecticut.

Dylan De Meo has eight points, five (one goal, four assists) at Marywood and three goals against Western Connecticut.

Kenneth Gallagher won 35 of the 54 faceoffs he has taken. In the last game, Gallagher was 19-for-27. Gallagher has a team-high 12 ground balls.

Christopher Doerr has stopped 17 of the 38 shots on goal he has faced in 120 minutes of action.
