2018 Bryn Athyn College Men's Lacrosse Schedule

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Third-year head coach Tucker Durkin has announced the schedule for the 2018 Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team Thursday. The Lions will play 14 games during the season, seven at home, and two against schools on the schedule for the first time.

Bryn Athyn opens the season on the road at Gwynedd Mercy University for their first-ever meeting with the Griffins on Feb. 28. It will be the earliest that the Lions have started a season in the program's six-year history.

The Lions will get to play its home opener on General Ronald K. Nelson Field three days later when Mount St. Mary's (N.Y.) comes to campus on March 3. It is the first meeting between the Knights and Lions since the 2014 season.

Bryn Athyn will square off with Immaculata for the fifth straight season when the two teams clash on March 10 at Immaculata. The Lions and Mighty Macs each have two wins in the series. The Lions remain on the road to face Stockton for the first time since their inaugural season on March 14.

After the Stockton game, the Lions have a season-long four-game home stand from March 21 through April 4. During the string, Bryn Athyn will conclude non-conference play and start North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play.

On March 20, Bryn Athyn faces Susquehanna for the first time in program history. The Lions wrap up non-conference play on March 24 against King's (Pa.). King's won the inaugural meeting between the teams, 15-6, last year in Wilkes Barre, Pa.

The eight-game NEAC schedule gets underway when defending NEAC champion Morrisville State visits General Nelson Field to conclude the home stand on April 4.

Bryn Athyn goes back on the road on April 7 for a showdown with Hilbert. The Lions are 2-1 against the Hawks, including a 14-7 victory last year on Nelson Field.

The following week has Bryn Athyn playing host to Medaille on April 11 and heading to Cazenovia on April 14. Bryn Athyn has a perfect 3-0 record against Medaille, including 20-4 win last year in Buffalo. Cazenovia eliminated the Lions from last season's conference tournament.

The Lions end their slate of home matches against SUNY Cobleskill on April 18 and Wells on April 21. Bryn Athyn has a 3-0 record against the Fighting Tigers and a 4-0 mark against the Express.

Bryn Athyn ends the season with trips to Keuka on April 25 and SUNY Poly on April 28. The Lions defeated Keuka for the first time ever last season by a 16-2 score and are 3-0 against SUNY Poly.

The Lions are coming off of an 8-8 season in 2017 and a second straight NEAC Tournament semifinal appearance.
