Bryn Athyn - PA. - The men's lacrosse team hosted Keuka in their second conference game of the season. The Lions fell to Keuka 15-7 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lions and the Wolfpack were both able to keep each other off the scoreboard for the opening five minutes of the game. The Lions opened up the scoring when Connor Buick darted toward the goal and scored an unassisted goal to make the score 1-0. With the Lions up a player, Ryan Landels took a pass from Andrew Coyle and beat the Keuka goalkeeper to put the Lions up 2-0.Keuka added a late goal and the quarter ended with the Lions up 2-1.
Keuka battled back early in the second and went up 3-2. The Lions tied up the score with 11 minutes left in the quarter, when Ryan Landels score his second goal of the day assisted by Jesse Frazier. This seem to spark the Wolfpack offense and ignited six unanswered goals by Keuka. Keuka led at halftime 9-3.
The Lions went scoreless as the Wolfpack shut down the Bryn Athyn offense in the third. Keuka added three goals in the quarter and led 12-3 at the end of three-quarters.
The Lions were able to score four goals in the fourth, led by Connor Buick with two of his three goals on the day. The Wolfpack lead was too much for the Lions to overcome, as Keuka held on for the 15-7 victory over Bryn Athyn.
Connor Buick led the Lions with three goals and Ryan Landels added two goals in the loss. The Lions goalkeeper Robert Moran made 13 saves on 28 shots in 60 minutes of play.
The Lions fall to 4-3 overall and still looking for their first win in the conference, moving to 0-2 in the NEAC. The Lions are back in action on Sunday, April 10th as they host Wells at 12:00 pm.
