Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse defeated Neumann University 19-10 Wednesday afternoon in non conference action.
Nolan Frame led the Lions with six goals and three ground balls. Andrew Coyle put in five goals and picked up six ground balls. Connor Buick scored four goals and one assist. Ryan Landels and Quintin Harrish notched two goals each. Travis McCurdy led the defense with 10 ground balls.
Bryn Athyn scored 5-5, on man up opportunities.
The Lions set the tone of the game scoring at 9:52 by Frame, assisted by Landels. Neumann answered a minute later with a goal. Cole scored at the six minute mark to retake the lead, but the Knights tied the game three minutes later. Bryn Athyn would end the quarter, scoring two goals to take a 4-2 lead.
The Lions scoring at the 12:49 to start the second quarter. Neumann answered with their third goal, on a man up opportunity a minute later. Frame answered with back to back goals to build the Bryn Athyn lead to 7-3. Both teams would exchange goals to end the quarter, Lions leading 10-6.
Neumann started the scoring in the third quarter. Bryn Athyn responded with two goals at the nine and eight minute mark to build a five goal lead. But Neumann would finish the quarter scoring goals to bring back the Lions lead to four goals.
Bryn Athyn took control of the fourth quarter, scoring six goals to win the game 19-10. Coyle scored three unanswered goals in the quarter to lead the way.
Robert Moran made 12 saves in net for the Lions.
