Junior Captain Danny Triesler expressed, "With our team growing more and more as a cohesive unit every time we step on the ice, we gain more confidence in our performance heading into later part of the season. With our positive production over the weekend, we have to stay focused on this upcoming weekend and play our game as consistent as ever. Rowan is a physical and skilled team, and we have to match their intensity. We're all very confident and ready for this test."

Rowan's Freshman forward, Marty Bell leads the team with 18 goals and 13 assists. In conference action, Bell has put up eight goals and five assists.  Sophomore forward , Svyatoslav Okshin has scored 18 goals and 14 assists currently in the season. Assistant Coach Burke stated, " Each game we have played over the past two weeks has been a team win. Each guy in the room is pulling for each other. The team has the same common goal, which is awesome from a coaching perspective. We know that tomorrow nights atmosphere is going to be intense, loud, and a battle, but our boys are fired up to play in front of the home crowd. We know Rowan will give us their best, but we are a different team than we were two months ago. We're expecting a playoff type game right from the drop of the puck. From a coaching side of things, I am sure the guys will have a few butterflies, but I expect them to settle down after the first few minutes and play our style of hockey."

Last time the two teams met, Rowan slipped by the Lions 4-2 on the road. Terrence Johnson scored two goals. Triesler had two assists. Ray Weissler notched an assist. Rowan got on the board quickly with a goal two minutes into the game off a back-door pass. The Lions responded at the 6:58 minute mark, when Johnson came down the left wing off a pass from Weissler, faked the goalie, and back-handed in a goal.

Rowan scored once more before the first period break to take a 2-1 lead. In the second period, the Profs scored two goals, leaving the Lions scoreless.

Bryn Athyn came out tough in the third, giving Rowan's defense pressure from all angles. Johnson scored 1:30 into the third to chip away at the Profs' lead. With multiple attacks on both sides, the game would end 4-2.

Steven Altman made 37 saves in net. He held the Profs scoreless in the third, stopping 17 shots.

Come out and support the Lions as they begin their quest for the 2013 DVCHC Championship.
