BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team will make its 2017-18 home debut when the Lions play host to Lebanon Valley College on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in Junge Pavilion.
Tickets will be $5 at the door. Children 12 and under and students with a valid Bryn Athyn College or Academy of the New Church student ID can attend the game for free.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lions fell to 4-4-0 overall after a pair of losses in the Steve Hoar Memorial Invitational at Becker College last weekend. Bryn Athyn was defeated 5-1 by the host Hawks on Nov. 25 and then suffered a 4-1 setback to Stonehill one day later.
Mike Perkett scored the goal against Becker and Tanner Congdon lit the lamp in the Stonehill game. Landon Trutt made his season debut in goal against Stonehill, making 35 saves on 39 shots.
Lebanon Valley (2-3-1) picked up a 5-2 victory over Nazareth College back on Nov. 18 in Hershey, Pa. Brett Johnson had a four-point game with three goals and one assist. Joel Eisenhower recorded 33 saves. The Dutchmen went 4-for-10 on the man advantage.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
Julion Lever leads the 43rd best scoring offense in Division III with five goals this season. He had a four-game goals streak snapped against Becker. Alec Grollman and Zach Pamaylaon have both scored four times. Grollman, the team leader in points with seven, is one of the top power-play threats in Division III with three of his goals coming on the man advantage, which is ranked 12th.
Mike Perkett is Bryn Athyn's top offensive defenseman with two goals and four assists. He is tied for 38th in Division III among defensemen with 0.75 points per game.
Riley Flynn tops the team in plus/minus at +4.
McKenzie Chalmers is 4-3-0 with a 2.75 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.
The Lions enter Friday with the ninth-ranked power play in Division III, scoring on 9 of their 34 opportunities (26.5 percent). Bryn Athyn had scored at least one power-play goal in four straight games before going 0-for-9 during the weekend at Becker.
Bryn Athyn's penalty kill sits 44th in Division III at 81.8 percent, successfully killing off 27 of their 33 penalties.
SCOUTING LEBANON VALLEY
After going winless in their first four games of the season, the Dutchmen have bounced back with back-to-back victories against Utica and Nazareth.
Johnson took over the team lead in goals thanks to his hat trick against Nazareth with five goals. In addition to his scoring ability, Johnson also has four assists, which is second on the team. Cole Hepler and Kevin Van Bokkelen both scored three goals this year. Johnson, Hepler, and Van Bokkelen all have two goals on the power play.
Bryan Hovanec is Lebanon Valley's top playmaker with a team-high six assists.
Joel Eisenhoswer has started five of the six games in goal, producing a 2-2-1 record, a 3.98goals against average, and an .893 save percentage.
Lebanon Valley is 7-for-40 (17.5 percent) on the power play and 24-for-33 (72.7 percent) on the penalty kill.
