BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team (5-15) plays its final non-conference game of the season when the Lions host the University of Valley Forge (1-14) Wednesday night in Asplundh Field House.
- Rahim Washington became the third men's basketball in Bryn Athyn College history to record 1,000 career points after a 22-point performance against Cairn. Washington now has 1,005 points—73 behind Troy Steed (1,0787 points) for the all-time program lead.
- Wednesday's game is Bryn Athyn's 13th and final non-conference game of the season. The Lions are 2-10 in non-conference play and averaging 72.1 points per game. Bryn Athyn is 2-2 against non-conference competition in Asplundh Field House this season, defeating Immaculata and Rutgers-Camden.
- Bryn Athyn is 4-4 in Asplundh Field House this season. The Lions have put up 79.4 points per game at home, 5.9 points better than their season average, and made 78 3-pointers, compared to 84 in the 12 games played away from home. Bryn Athyn is also recording 40.1 rebounds at home, nearly 4.0 above its season average.
- In the last three games, Tariq Moore has stepped up in a big way to become a key offensive player for the Lions. Capped off by a career-high 20-point performance against Cairn, Moore has averaged 19.3 points per game on 61.5 percent shooting. The three-game spurt has raised Moore's season-scoring average from 4.6 to 6.8 points per game.
- The Lions and Patriots will square off for the fifth time on Wednesday night with Valley Forge leading the all-time series, 3-1. Bryn Athyn picked up its first victory over Valley Forge last season, defeating the Patriots 82-69 on Nov. 28, 2018 in Asplundh Field House.
