BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team welcomes Arcadia University to Asplundh Field House for the Lions' 2017-18 home opener Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Bryn Athyn enters the game with a 1-1 overall record after splitting its two weekend games in the Widener Tip-Off for Autism Awareness on Nov. 17-18. After falling to host Widener 95-64 on the 17th, the Lions picked up a wire-to-wire 69-65 victory over York (N.Y.) in the consolation game.

SCOUTING BRYN ATHYN
Rahim Washington was the Lions' top player in the tournament as he posted 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds, both team highs, in the two games. Washington drained a team-high four 3-pointers on 12 attempts. He had a season-high 19 points in the loss to the Pride.

Adonis Rosario contributed 12.0 points on 50.0 percent shooting and 6.5 rebounds. He played 30 minutes against York and shot 6-of-9 to pour in 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Christian Rivera also averaged in double figures with 10.0 points. Going 8-of-11 from the free throw line and 5-of-11 from the field, Rivera had eight points against Widener and 12 in the win over York. He also led the defensive effort with four of the team's 14 steals over the weekend.  

Bryn Athyn is shooting 34.6 percent from the floor, while Widener and York combined to shoot 43.5 percent.

SCOUTING ARCADIA
Arcadia is sitting at .500 with a 1-1 overall record after picking up a 99-96 road win at North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent Penn State Abington on Nov. 18. The Knights opened the season with a 74-62 loss to Gwynedd Mercy.

Against Penn State Abington, Arcadia shot 58.5 percent (31-of-53) from the field, 61.5 percent (8-of-13) behind the 3-point arc. Josh Scott paced the Knights with 33 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Phil Piefry added 20 points and eight rebounds.

Through two games, Scott is shooting .550 overall to lead the team in scoring with 18.0 points per game. Piefry has 15.0 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game, while Brandon Thompson is added 12.5 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY
The Lions and Knights are playing for the first time since Nov. 20, 2013—the only meeting between the two sides. Arcadia won the contest in Glenside by an 82-77 score.
