Women's soccer prove to be road warriors while knocking off Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Bryn Athyn Women's soccer went on the road this afternoon seeking their first win of the 2024 season. The Lions proved to be road warriors in a 3-2 win over the Cyclones off the game winning goal from Kira Bradley in the 85th minute.

How it Happened 

  • Centenary struck first in the match with a goal in the 21st minute
  • The Lions did not wait long to answer back after Kira Bradley slotted the ball to back of the net off a grounded cross from Murray
  • The teams played the remainder of the first half to an even draw
  • The host Cyclones hit the back of the net 15 minutes into the second half to take the 2-1 lead
  • The Lions applied pressure to find the equalizer. 
  • Insert Storck who buried the equalizer from an assist by Bradley in the 78th minute
  • The Lions capitlized on the momentum when Bradley scored the game winner in the 85th minute off a pass from Smith.

  • Lions drew 9 corners to Cyclones 7
  • Bradley continues her dominant run that started last year with 3 goals and 1 assist in the first two games of the year
