The Bryn Athyn College Women's Basketball program achieved a major milestone in its 70-59 victory at Cedar Crest last Saturday, netting the 100th win in program history. The Lions are in only their 10th full season as a program and member of the NCAA, and will honor their All-Decade Team this Saturday, December 9 in Asplundh Field House, prior to the 1pm tip off against St. Elizabeth University. The men's basketball All-Decade Team will also be honored during the double-header.
"100 wins as a program is a wonderful accomplishment for our team, our College, and the entire Bryn Athyn community," said 5th year head coach Travis Ponton. "Milestones like these are a testament to the hard work and investment of all of the players, coaches, administrators, faculty members, and beyond that pour into the process and put in the time and work that goes into this type of success. We are only as great as our people, so thank you and congratulations to all of them! I consider myself blessed to have been a small part of it, and we look forward to the next 100 wins and more in the years ahead."
Bryn Athyn is once again off to a fast start this season, with a 5-1 overall record and 3-0 conference mark heading into this Saturday's action.
