How it Happened
  • There was no clear hierarchy on this night. Both teams grappled with advantages, but failed to convert.
  • Bryn Athyn seemed to have the upper hand for most of the opening period, but could not put ball to net.
  • Cabrini countered with a few runs of their own, but some stout Lions defense kept the score at 0-0.
  • It would stay that way through halftime.
  • The second half might as well have been a different sport. The physicality, aggressiveness, and whistles were all substantially louder.
  • Just 10 minutes into the period, three yellow cards were doled out as part of the same play.
  • Another physical play led to a Cavalier penalty kick, which put the visitors up 1-0.
  • Three more yellows were charged before the ballgame was over.
  • Cabrini went on to win 1-0.
