VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey program was picked to finish sixth in the conference. Cedar Crest College was the top pick of the coaches in the 2022 Colonial States Athletic Conference Preseason Poll released on Tuesday afternoon. The coaches were asked to vote on the order of finish for the teams in the CSAC and were not permitted to vote for their own squads.

The Falcons – who reached the title game last season – finished with 39 points and two first-place votes. Defending champion Wilson College – who defeated Cedar Crest in the title game last season – got 38 points and two first-place votes.
Keystone College was third with 37 points and one first-place vote. Sweet Briar College was fourth with 31 points and one first-place vote.
Lancaster Bible College was fifth with 22 points, followed by Bryn Athyn College in sixth with 15 points and one first-place vote.
Notre Dame of Maryland University was seventh with 14 points.
The season begins on Thursday, September 1 with four games, including a non-conference matchup between Sweet Briar and Wilson. Conference play begins on Saturday, September 24, as Sweet Briar travels to Keystone.
The CSAC Championship, which features the top four teams, will start on Wednesday, November 2 with the semifinals and conclude with the title game on Saturday, November 5. The winner of the championship will receive the conference's automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament.
