ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey team was well represented on the end of year All-Colonial States Athletic Conference second team with four all-conference selections: Eve Miller, Kyla Rogers, Bri Lennox, and Chantal Farmer. In addition to her second-team recognition, Farmer was named to the All-CSAC Sportsmanship Team.
The four Lions on the all-conference team is a program record and all four players are first-time honorees.
Miller was one of the best defensive midfielders in the conference with a CSAC-best seven defensive saves in 2018, three coming against Bryn Mawr on Sept. 11. She also chipped in offensively with two goals and one assist. Miller's first collegiate goal in her collegiate debut at Immaculata on Aug. 31.
Rogers and Lennox were tied for the team lead in goals this season with three.
All three of Lennox's goals came in Bryn Athyn victories, two in a 5-4 overtime triumph against New England College on Sept. 9 and one in a 3-1 CSAC win over Notre Dame (Md.) on Oct. 10. Rogers' goals came against Neumann on Sept. 4, New England College, and Cedar Crest on Sept. 26. Rogers added a defensive save against Immaculata.
Farmer was one Bryn Athyn's top defenders, racking up three defensive saves in conference play with one in matches with Cedar Crest on Sept. 26, Notre Dame (Md.) on Oct. 10, and Keystone on Oct. 14. On the offensive end, Farmer assisted on the Lions' lone goal in a non-conference loss to Moravian on Sept. 15.
In addition to her place on the All-CSAC second team, Farmer is Bryn Athyn's representative on the All-CSAC Sportsmanship Team. To be named to the All-CSAC Sportsmanship Team, an individual on each team that best exemplifies the qualities of sportsmanship.
