CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team made their first appearance tonight in the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship Tournament as the fifth seed against the fourth seeded Wilson College and fell 53-44.

How it Happened
  • The teams played a back and forth first quater but the Lions held a 17-13 lead after one frame
  • Lions ended the quarter on a 7-3 run thanks to a timely three from junior Alisha McKnight and two layups from Mitchem and junior Keziah Mitchell-Reyes
  • Lions built their biggest lead of the first half after a Barry layup which stretched the lead to 21-14 in the visiting team's favor
  • The Phoenix answered with an 8-0 run to take a 22-21 lead.
  • Bryn Athyn retook the lead before the half ended and went into the break with a 25-24 lead.
  • Coming out at half the Lions went cold from the field going 3-18 in the frame. 
  • The Phoenix capitalized on the Lions poor shooting to outscore Bryn Athyn 16-6 in the third quarter.
  • Wilson built an 11 point lead early in the fourth, but the Lions slowly chipped it down to 5 at the 2:14 mark off two free throws from Kaylia Duncan 
  • Wilson would knock down free throws to close out the game and win 52-43.

  • Lions finish the season at 9-14
  • The playoff game was the first playoff appearance since 2016-17 for the Lady Lions and first appearance in playoffs since joining the CSAC
  • The 9 wins are the most for the program since the 20-6 team in 2016-17
