BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - Bryn Athyn men's ice hockey split their weekend games against Rowan and Rutgers.
Game 1
A tough loss for our Bryn Athyn College Men's Ice Hockey team, losing 5-1 against Rowan University. In a hard fought game DJ May scored the goal, assisted by Eric Higgins near the end of the first period. Rowan also scored once in the first period leaving the game tied 1-1.
Going into the second Rowan scored once more. They then scored three more times in the third with a total of five goals at the end of the game. Michal Nabozny only allowed 5 of the 69 shots on goal throughout the entire game.
Game 2
The team rebounded from their loss to Rowan beating Rutgers 3-2. Leading the team, scoring all three goals, and getting a hat trick was senior Zach Pamaylaon. This win made the team 7-2 in the CSCHC.
Going into the beginning period Rutgers scored first and the lions were unable to score.
Entering the second period Bryn Athyn tied the game with a goal from Pamaylaon, with an assist from freshman, Aidan Esack and senior Michael Perkett. After a lot of back and forth on the ice the score at the end of the second was 1-1.
As the third began the lions were ready to come back and win. Scoring twice more was Pamaylaon. His first goal in the third was assisted by freshman Gabriel Beres and Michael Perkett. His third and final goal was assisted by junior, Owen Ovecka and Gabriel Beres. Rutgers scored once more before the end of the third making the score 3-2 lions. This kept the fans on their feet in hopes of another win. Which is what the team was able to gain
