LA PLUME, Pa. – For the second time in less than a week, Mother Nature has made herself the star of a Bryn Athyn College field hockey game as lightning and tornadoes have caused the suspension of the Lions' Colonial States Athletic Conference contest at Keystone College on Tuesday.

A date and location to conclude the contest have not yet been determined. The host Giants were leading 4-0 with 25:54 left in the second half at the time of suspension.

Bryn Athyn goalie Shelly Drucker has made 10 saves so far in the game.

Kayla Bain and Amy Llewellyn scored for Keystone before the match was halted by lightning for the first time with 7:16 remaining in the opening half. When play resumed after a lengthy delay, Savanna Robinson extended the gap to 3-0 with four minutes left in the half. Llewellyn scored for the second time in the contest just 3:03 into the second half.

The lightning and tornadoes came through just over 10 minutes later, forcing both teams to call it a day.

Bryn Athyn will return to action on Monday, Oct. 8 when the Lions complete their suspended CSAC game against Cedar Crest at 5 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field. Cedar Crest leads that contest 3-1 when play resumes at the start of the second half.
