Hockey routes Monmouth in conference play

JERSEY SHORE, N.J. - A clean sweep for the Bryn Athyn Men's Ice Hockey team against Monmouth University, winning 11-0. This was their third conference win of the season and have yet to lose a CSCHC game. Starting off strong in the first period, senior Mike Perkett scored the first goal within the first thirty seconds, with an assist from Zach Pamaylaon and Landen Sill. Continuing to play strong, senior Pamaylaon led the team, scoring three goals within the last six minutes of the period. All goals were assisted by Sill and the last goal of the period, scored with twelve seconds left on the clock, was also assisted by Sean Ford. Ending the first period with a 4-0 lead for the lions. 

Going into the second period the men had gained more confidence and were ready for anything. The lions scored five more goals during this period. The first goal of the period was a huge shot for Perkett. Following, Pamaylaon scored his fourth goal with an assist from Perkett. Freshman, Gabriel Beres scored with an assist from Pamaylaon. Shortly after senior, James Cole scored with an assist from Sill and Pamaylaon. Getting the last goal in the second period was freshman Anthony Basile. Basile scored with just four minutes left on the clock, with an assist from Pamaylaon and Sill. This brought the score to 9-0 Lions at the end of the second. 

Having a huge lead going into the third period, the lions did not back down. They went and got two more goals during the first five minutes of the period. Freshman, DJ May scored within the first minute with an assist from Pamaylaon and Perkett. Not long after, freshman, Landen Sill scored his first goal of the game with an assist from May. Wrapping up the game with a huge win, Michal Nabozny achieved his first collegiate shutout, letting in no goals. Go Lions!
