LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the annual Cairn 4K meet on Friday afternoon at Cairn University.
For the women, the Lions were paced by freshman Natalie Shaw who placed 12th in the 19-runner field with a time of 23:39. Shaw was closely followed by teammates Reilly Ward and Kaylia Duncan who crossed the line in times of 24:06 and 24:52 to finish thirteenth and fifteenth, respectively. Freshmen Lily Deangelis and Jency Brock crossed the finish line with times of 26:43 and 27:20. The women finished third as a team out of three teams.
For the men, Bryn Athyn was led by freshman Rafe Williams, who crossed first for the Lions with a time of 14:45 to finish 3rd in the 36-runner field. Crossing next for the Lions was senior Mike Jones who finished with a time of 16:19 (13th place). Declan Williams was not far behind Jones finishing 16th with a time of 17:20. Haybert Louchie and Magnus Lawing rounded out the field for Bryn Athyn with a 26th (19:04) and 33rd (23:51) finish. The men claimed second place out of four teams in the invitational
The women's and men's cross country teams will be back on the course on Saturday, September 11 when they travel into the city to compete in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Meet hosted by Jefferson University.
