BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - Bryn Athyn Women's soccer announces eight woman recruiting class for 2021 on Tuesday afternoon. The class includes five incoming freshman and three transfers.

Lindsay Kinsky is a transfer student-athlete from Division II Mercyhurst. Kinsky played her high school soccer down the road at William Tennet. Coach Bill O'Neill said, "I was really excited to get the call from Lindsay in mid December that she was looking to transfer to Bryn Athyn. I recruited Lindsay the previous year while she was playing club ball at Parkwood then HVAA. Lindsay will be a huge addition to our program as another great local player coming from William Tennent High School. Lindsay will provide our program with a ton of energy and excitement. Lindsay has a tenacious work rate that will make a huge impact on our program."
 
The Lions did not travel far for their next commitment. Kylie Scarpiello played high soccer at Bensalem and club for FC Delco. "I had several chances to get out and see Kylie play with her FC Delco team. Kylie is a defender that puts in the work and loves the game." O'Neill continued. "Kylie played at Bensalem High School. Kylie is truly dedicated to putting in the work and is a great fit for our Lion Pride mentality. Kylie will look to make an impact playing in our back line."
 
The next transfer to pledge to the Lions was Kayla Poll. Poll is a transfer from Bucks County Community College. She was a three year starter at Bensalem High School where she ws named to the 2016 Courier Times Golden Team.  O'Neill remarked, "Kayla will come into our program looking to make an impact in our midfield. Kayla will make a great impact on our program with her relentless work rate and team first mentality. I am excited to have Kayla part of our Lions Pride."
 
Bryn Athyn garned their next commitment from Philadelphia, Pa. Joseline Tlapaya, a defender, played her her high school soccer at Central High and club soccer for United Philly SC. "When Joseline came to campus for her visit she asked all the right questions and made me confident that she was a great fit for our program," O'Neill said. "Joseline comes from a very strong soccer background with her family. She played at two great programs coming from Central High School and United Philly SC. Joseline will look to make a strong push to make an impact on our back line."
 
Jenna Sasso comes to Bryn Athyn as a transfer from Division II Mercyhurst. Coach O'Neill on Jenna, "Jenna comes to us from Mercyhurst High School and transfer from Mercyhurst. Jenna will be looking to make a strong push to play in our midfield and front line. Jenna comes from a very strong High School program that won a state championship in 2017 and runner up in 2016. I am excited to see where Jenna will make her impact on our program."
 
Mishell Osorio-Gutierrez is the next commitment as the Lions continue to hit the local recruiting scene hard. Osorio-Guitierrez played high school soccer at Philadelphia High School for Girls. Coach O'Neill said,"Mishell comes to us through the very strong Star Finders Foundation. Mishell will bring with her strong desire to achieve and great leadership abilities. She will come in looking to make an impact as an outside player. She went to the very reputable Philadelphia High School for Girls. Looking forward to seeing what kind of impact Mishell will make on our program." 
 
Vanessa Squares, Nazareth High School product, was the next recruit to join the Lions. The attacking midfielder played her club soccer with Hulmeville SC Hotshots. "I was contacted by Robert Loper, Vanessa's club coach for the Hulmeville SC Hotshots, about her interest in our program. I really liked the fact that Vanessa played in a team first concept," O'Neill said. "Vanessa plays attacking midfielder Nazareth High School and her successful club team. Vanessa will be a great fit for our program and excited to see the impact she will make on our Lions Pride."
 
The final commitment of the 2021 class for the Lady Lions is Ally Paul. Paul is a transfer from Widener University. She played her high school soccer at Penn Charter. Coach O'Neill on the addition of Ally, "I have known Ally since she was a young player and watched her grow into an impact player at PSC Coppa and William Penn Charter. She has always been a player that plays the game physical and relentless work rate. Ally is transferring from Widener Univsersity, where she appeared in 13 matches as a freshmen, starting in four of those games and scored two goals. At Penn Charter, she was an All-InterAc player, member of the 2016 and 2017 conference championship team. I am looking for Ally to be an impact player on our frontline."

The Lions will be returning to the pitch after the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the 2020 season. Bryn Athyn will open their 2021 season on September 1 at General Ronald K. Nelson Field as they take on Albright College at 7:30 p.m.
