BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College Women's Soccer program announced its 2021 schedule on Wednesday morning, as the Lions will host nine games at General Ronald K. Bryn Athyn returns home for a three game home stand where they take on Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 18) and open up CSAC play against Clarks Summit (Sept. 25), and Cairn (Sept. 29).
The month of October has Bryn Athyn on the road for the first two games as they travel to Saint Elizabeth on Oct. 2. The team takes on Cedar Crest on Oct. 5 before returning home for a match up with Wilson College on Oct. 9. The Lions have a road match against the Ravens of Rosemont on Oct. 13. The team wraps up their home schedule the following week with two games on Oct. 16 and Oct. 21 as they take on conference opponent Keystone and nonconference opponent Trinity (D.C.). Bryn Athyn finishes their season with two road conference games against Valley Forge and Notre Dame (MD) on October 26 and 30.
Head Coach Bill O'Neill on the schedule and upcoming season, "Its will be really exciting to see this group back on the field in 2021. In the 2019 season, we left some games on the table that would have put us in the play offs for the third time in our 4 year history. So this group will come in highly motivated to have great 2021 campaign. We graduated the founding members of our program in 2020 and need to replace their leadership. I will be looking to our leaders Paulina Storck, Payton Gormley and Ashley Rivera to lead the large group of recruits we brought in for this upcoming season. Our goal is to make the play offs for the third time and make a strong run at winning the CSAC. I believe we have a group that will work hard and truly work together to achieve our goals."
The CSAC Playoffs are set to take place the on November 1, 2021
Dates and times for each game are subject to change due to weather or other conflicts, so stay up to date with everything on our social media pages, @brynathynlions and @bac_wsoc.
