Men's Ice Hockey Win their Second DVCHC National Conference Title

Aston, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team defeated Rowan University, 7-2 in the DVCHC National Division Championships Sunday night at Ice Works Skating Complex.

This the second title in two years for the Lions.

Kyle Jennings led the Lions with a hat-trick.  Anthony Notofrancesco scored a goal and had two assists.  Devyn Dworsky scored one goal and one assist.  Jayson Marbach and DJ Mulhern had one goal each.

Three minutes into the game, Dworsky scored the first goal for the Lions, coming down the right side beating the goalie low to take a 1-0 lead.  Bryn Athyn would head into the first period break with a goal lead. 

Rowan took control the second period, scoring two power play goals to take a 2-1 lead. 

Bryn Athyn answered strong in the third period, scoring six unanswered goals to win the game.  Jennings scored all three of his goals in the period.  He started his scoring at the 15:15 mark, off a pass from Notofrancesco.  Three minutes later, Marbach scored off a pass from Chris Ebersole.  Jennings scored back-to-back goals at 10:40 and 2:52.  Notofrancesco scored a short-handed goal with 1:44 left. Mulhern scored with seconds left in the game.

Steven Altman made 24 saves in net for the Lions.
