ROSEMONT, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College's Kiaeem Comegys earned the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men's basketball defensive player of the week award from the conference office Monday.
In a 1-1 week against CSAC competition, Comegys picked up his first-ever conference honor by averaging 4.0 blocks, 3.0 defensive rebounds, and 1.0 steals. He chipped in offensively with 4.0 points per game.
Comegys blocked five shots, grabbed four defensive rebounds, and added two steals in a 75-67 home victory over the College of Saint Elizabeth on Feb. 5. During the Lions' loss at Wilson, Comegys racked up three blocked shots and two defensive rebounds.
He ranks 11th in Division III with 54 blocked shots and 13th with 2.45 blocked shots per game, both conference highs. Comegys is third on the team with 3.8 rebounds per game and fourth with 21 steals. Offensively, Comegys adds 3.5 points per game.
Bryn Athyn (4-18, 3-8 CSAC) travels to Cairn for a CSAC clash on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m.
