ROSEMONT, Pa. – Thanks to a strong 3-point shooting display in the Lions' victory over Clarks Summit, Bryn Athyn College's Anthony Burr was selected as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men's basketball player of the week by the league office Monday.
Burr connected on five of his seven 3-point attempts to pour in a game- and season-high 21 points in Bryn Athyn's 82-58 victory against Clarks Summit on January 25. In addition to recording the third 20+-point game in his collegiate career, Burr contributed four rebounds, a team-high four assists, and a game-high three steals.
This season, Burr—who is averaging 9.1 points per game—ranks fourth in the conference in made 3-pointers (33) and made 3-pointers per game (1.9), seventh in assists per game (3.6), eighth in assists (61), and 13th in steals (24).
Bryn Athyn (3-16, 2-6 CSAC) goes for its third consecutive victory on Saturday, Feb. 1, when the Lions travel to Keystone for a CSAC clash at 3 p.m.
