BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College men's basketball head coach Justin Baxter announced the Lions' schedule for the 2019-20 season Wednesday.

Bryn Athyn opens the season on November 8 with an exhibition contest at Division I Towson University. This is the fifth consecutive season that the Lions face Division I opposition. Last season, Bryn Athyn fell to Drexel University, 118-41. In previous seasons, Bryn Athyn took on NJIT (2017-18), the University of Delaware (2016-17), and Princeton University (2015-16).

The Lions get the 2019-20 season officially underway on the weekend of Nov. 15-16 in the Widener Tip-Off for Autism Awareness. Bryn Athyn's first game of the campaign is against host Widener and the Lions will take on either Kean or Moravian in the second game.

Another weekend tournament awaits the Lions on Nov. 22-23 with Bryn Athyn traveling to Muhlenberg to compete in the Scotty Wood Tournament. The tournament begins with Bryn Athyn taking on Muhlenberg and then SUNY Purchase or Neumann the following day.

Bryn Athyn plays the first of nine games in Asplundh Field House on November 26 when the Lions play host to Neumann. The Neumann game is also the final tune-up before Bryn Athyn begins its 14-game Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) slate on November 30 at Clarks Summit.

The Lions play seven games during the month of December, five in a 13-day span, starting December 7 against Keystone in Asplundh Field House. Then, Bryn Athyn is on the road for three straight games at Haverford (December 11), College of Saint Elizabeth (December 14), and Immaculata (December 17). The busy stretch ends on December 20 back in Asplundh Field House against Delaware Valley.

The 2019 portion of the schedule ends on December 28-29 in the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament at DeSales. Bryn Athyn opens the tournament with DeSales and ends it with William Paterson or Juniata.

Bryn Athyn ends its non-conference schedule with its opening game of 2020, January 4 at Valley Forge.

During the final five games of January, Bryn Athyn will be at home four times with the lone road trip coming on January 15 at Centenary. The list of teams coming to Asplundh Field House in that stretch includes Wilson (January 7), Cairn (January 9), Rosemont (January 18), and Clarks Summit (January 25).

After starting February on the road against Keystone on February 1 and Wilson on February 5, Bryn Athyn is back in Asplundh Field House for a showdown with Saint Elizabeth on February 8. The Lions go back on the road to take on Cairn on February 12.

Bryn Athyn plays its final home game of the season on February 19 against Centenary. The regular season ends on February 22 at Rosemont.

The CSAC Tournament begins on February 26 with the semifinal round and concludes on February 29. The winner of the conference tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Bryn Athyn returns nine players from last year's team that went 6-19 overall and 3-9 in its first year in the CSAC.
