Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team defeated #2 Farmingdale State, 5-4 in the second game against the Rams this weekend.
Scott Witmyer let the Lions with three assists and one goal. Travis McCurdy scored two goals and one assist. Jayson Marbach notched two assists and one goal. Paul Napierkowski had two assists. Kyle Jennings scored one goal.
Farmingdale State retook their two-goal lead at the 7:46 mark of the second period. Bryn Athyn answered with two goals to tie the game at 3-3. Jennings scored off a pass from McCurdy at 7:46 on the power play. A minute later, McCurdy scored on the power play off a tic-tac-toe pass shot from Marbach and Witmyer.
A minute into the third period, the Rams scored to retake the lead, 4-3 lead. Bryn Athyn answered with the tying goal at 16:41, Witmyer beat the goalie off a pass from Steven Altman. At the 12:12 mark, McCurdy scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Marbach to give the Lions home win.
Steven Altman made 27 saves in net for the Lions.
