Men's Ice Hockey Shut Out PSU Brandywine, 7-0

West Chester, PA. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team shut out PSU Brandywine 7-0, Friday night in DVCHC action.

Connor Buick, Kyle Jennings and Jayson Marbach scored two goals each.  Scott Witmyer scored one goal and two assists.  Anthony Notofrancesco notched two assists.

The Lions out shot the Nittany Lions 62-14 en route to the win. 

Jennings started the scoring of the Lions at the 17:17 mark of the first period.  Witmyer came down the left side with speed and passed it to Jennings, who beat the goalie on the power play. 

At the 11:52 mark of the second, Jennings scored his second goal of the night off a shot of the point, which deflected of a Nittany Lion and went about the goal's head.  30 seconds later at 11:27, Marbach scored through the five hole, off a pass from Notofrancesco.  At 10:43, Buick scored his second goal of the night beating the goalie low to build the Lion lead to 4-0, off a pass from Chris Ebersole.  Witmyer added to the scoring at 4:49, scoring off a pass from Anthony Astorino.  Buick scored with 2:38 left in the second period, beating a defenseman down the side and deking the goalie.

Marbach scored the lone goal at 12:03 in the third period off a pass from Justin Nugent and Notofrancesco.

Steven Altman made 14 saves in net for Bryn Athyn. This is his fifth career shutout.

The Lions head on the road to face Farmingdale State this Friday for a 8:30 pm puck drop.
