GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – After having a role in four of the Lions' program-record eight goals in their season-opening victory over Cairn University, Bryn Athyn College sophomore forward Shelby Puccio (Southampton, Pa./William Tennett) became the College's first women's soccer player to receive a conference weekly award as she was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Monday.

Puccio scored three times to record her first collegiate hat-trick—also the first in program history—and assisted on another goal in Bryn Athyn's 8-0 win against Cairn on Sept. 1. She started her tremendous offensive performance with an assist in the 13th minute on Bryn Athyn's second goal. Then, she would find the back of the net in the 21st, 55th, and 59th minute.

Bryn Athyn (1-0-0) hosts Rosemont College in a non-conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
