BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse team will wrap up the regular season with a Colonial States Athletic Conference match against first-place Keystone College Wednesday afternoon.
- Bryn Athyn is currently sitting in second place in the CSAC standings. The Lions can secure the two seed for the CSAC Tournament and a first-round home game by either defeating Keystone or, if they lose, by having a better goals allowed in conference play total than third-place Notre Dame. Through nine CSAC games, Bryn Athyn has allowed 38 goals, while Notre Dame has surrendered 58. The Gators end their regular season against Rosemont who they defeated 20-1 in the first meeting.
- The Lions and Giants are the top two defensive teams in the CSAC this season. In CSAC play, Keystone has surrendered a conference-low 34 goals and recorded one shutout and Bryn Athyn sits second with 38 goals allowed and has two shutouts. The Lions are seventh in Division III with a 5.40 goals against average, while the Giants are 10th with a goals against average of 6.17.
- Payton Gormley set the Bryn Athyn record for points in a game when she rattled off 11 points (eight goals, three assists) in the Lions' last game—a 24-1 win over Centenary. She broke the old mark of 10 that was shared by Hannah Bracey (four goals, six assists against Lancaster Bible on April 2, 2017, Bri Lennox (twice – most recently at SUNY Poly on April 13, 2018), and Jess Philipp (two goals, eight assists at Cedar Crest on April 13, 2019). She is fourth in the CSAC in goals per game (3.55) and assists per game (1.18).
- The Lions are having their best April in program history with a program-best five wins this month. During April, Bryn Athyn is averaging 17.67 goals per game, posting a 5.50 goals against average, and going 82.5 percent on clears. The Lions averaged just 11.8 goals
- Wednesday is the second meeting between the teams. The first meeting took place on March 27 on General Nelson Field with Keystone winning 4-3. It was the lowest-scoring game in Bryn Athyn women's lacrosse history.
