ROSEMONT, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College sophomore defender Tina Tu was named as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women's lacrosse defensive player of the week by the conference office Monday.

Tu—who earned the first conference weekly award of her career—racked up a career-high five caused turnovers and six ground balls to help the Lions shutout out Cedar Crest 19-0 in the team's first CSAC game of the season on March 23. She also added a goal and an assist in the victory.

She is the fourth Lion in program history to earn the defensive player of the week award from a conference office and the first since Anja Weisser was tabbed the North Eastern Athletic Conference defensive player of the week on April 2, 2018.

Tu leads the CSAC in ground balls (16) and ground balls per game (5.33), second in caused turnovers per game (3.00), and third in caused turnovers (9). In Division III, Tu ranks 23rd in ground balls per game and 27th in caused turnovers per game.

Bryn Athyn (2-1, 1-0 CSAC) hosts Keystone in a CSAC match on Wednesday, March 28 at 5 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
