BRYN ATHYN, Pa. -- The Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse team will make its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) debut when the Lions head to Cedar Crest College on Saturday afternoon.

  1. Bryn Athyn is playing its first road game of the 2019 season on Saturday. Last season, the Lions posted their first winning record in road games by going 3-2 away from General Ronald K. Nelson Field. The team is 9-11 in road contests under fifth-year head coach Denise Roessler.
  2. The Lions sit atop the CSAC in both caused turnovers per game (15.00) and ground balls per game (26.50). Sarah Reed is the CSAC leader in caused turnovers per game with 3.50 and tied for the lead in ground balls per game with teammate Tina Tu at 5.00. Payton Gormley is tied for second in caused turnovers per game (3.00) and eighth in ground balls per game (3.50).
  3. Bri Lennox set the program record for the most goals in the opening two games of the season by scoring 11 times (five against SUNY Maritime and six against Sweet Briar). The previous record was 10 set by Hannah Bracey 2017. Lennox is second in the CSAC with 5.50 goals per game, 1.00 assists per game, and 6.50 points per game. She is also third in the league with 8.00 shot attempts per game.
  4. Sarah Smith tops the conference with an 8.50 goals average against. The former attacker picked up her first win as a goalie with a five-save performance against Sweet Briar last Sunday.
  5. Saturday will be the third all-time meeting between the Lions and Falcons, the first since the 2017 season. This is the first time that Bryn Athyn is making the trip to Allentown to face Cedar Crest. Bryn Athyn is 2-0 all-time against Cedar Crest with both meetings being held on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
