BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse head coach Denise Roessler has announced the schedule for the Lions' 2019 season, which gets underway March 15, on Tuesday.
The Lions open the season with a pair of non-conference home games, played on General Ronald K. Nelson Field, on the weekend of March 15. Bryn Athyn's first match of the season comes on the 15th against SUNY Maritime. Then, two days later, the Lions welcome Sweet Briar to campus for a Sunday afternoon match-up.
SUNY Maritime and Sweet Briar are both on the Lions schedule for the first time ever.
After the two non-conference matches, the Lions will dive headfirst into Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with 10 straight conference clashes to close out the season.
CSAC play consists of double round-robin play against the other five teams in the conference with each team hosting once in the two-game series. Bryn Athyn faces Cedar Crest (March 23 – away, April 13 – home), Keystone (March 27 – home,
April 24 – away), Rosemont (March 30 – away, April 16 – home), Notre Dame (April 2 – home, April 10 – away), and Centenary (April 6 – home, April 20 – away).
Bryn Athyn is entering 2019 off of a 2018 season in which the Lions went 9-4 overall and made the semifinal round of the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament.
