Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team took down Neumann 7-4 in DVCHC conference action to remain undefeated in the national division.
David DalCortivo led the Lions with four assists. Travis McCurdy and Anthony Astorino scored one goal and two assists each. Kyle Jennings and Anthony Notofrancesco scored one goal and one assist each.
Jayson Marbach sniped a goal off a pass from Notofrancesco and DalCortivo at 16:21 in the first period. The Knights tied the game at 5:38 off a loose puck picked up in the neutral zone. Paul Napierkowski scored from the blue line off a pass from Jennings and Astorino to take an one goal lead into the period break.
Five minutes into the second period, Neumann tied the game at 2-2. At 14:30, the Lions retook the lead, Astorino scored inside post off a pass from DalCortivo. Bryn Athyn kept the offensive pressure by scoring two more goals to take a 5-2 lead into the second period break.
Neumann started the third period scoring a good goal off a power play. Bryn Athyn scored a minute later, Notofrancesco scored from the point to extend the Lion lead. At the 15:50 mark, Jennings scored off a pass from Astorino and DalCortivo. The Knights scored with six minutes left in the game, but wasn't enough to take down the Lions.
