2018 Bryn Athyn College Women's Lacrosse Schedule
BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The fifth season of women's lacrosse at Bryn Athyn College will get underway on Saturday, March 10 when the Lions host Mount Saint Vincent College on General Ronald. K. Nelson Field. It is the first of 12 games on the team's 2018 schedule, that was announced by Lion head coach Denise Roessler Thursday.
The third meeting in three years against the Dolphins, the first two going to the Lions, kicks off a busy month of March on General Nelson Field as Bryn Athyn will play five of their six games during the month at home. After a week off, Bryn Athyn will face Westminster (Pa.) for the first-ever meeting between the teams on March 17.
Bryn Athyn hits the road for the first of six times in 2018 with a trip to Bryn Mawr for a clash with the Owls, who the Lions defeated for the first time last season. In addition to being the team's first road game of the year, it is also Bryn Athyn's final non-conference game of the season.
The Lions start North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play with three straight home games to close out the month of March. Bryn Athyn will host Keuka and Wells on General Nelson Field for the opening weekend of NEAC play on March 24-25. Bryn Athyn knocked off Wells for the first time in program history last season with a 13-10 road win. The home stand and March come to an end against Penn State Abington on March 30.
Bryn Athyn will look to maintain its perfect record against Lancaster Bible when the Lions head to Lancaster to take on the Chargers in the April opener on April 7. The Lions are 4-0 all-time against the Chargers. The Lions return to the road for a trip in SUNY Poly on April 13.
The final two home games of 2018 are slated for the weekend of April 21-22 when Medaille and Hilbert come to Nelson Field. The Lions are 1-0 against Medaille at home and won the inaugural against Hilbert in 2017.
The last final weekend of the season has Bryn Athyn visiting Cazenovia and defending NEAC championship Morrisville State on April 27-18.
Bryn Athyn returns 15 players from the 2017 team that posted a 7-6 overall record, 3-6 against the NEAC.
