Womens Lacrosse Finishes Season with a Win at St. Elizabeth

Morrisville, NJ. - The women's lacrosse team traveled to St. Elizabeth for their final game of the regular season. The Lions rolled to an 11-3 victory over the Eagles.

Bryn Athyn fell behind in the first minute of the game 1-0. The Lions stormed back with three unanswered goals by Sabrina Colbridge, Emma Gross, and Michelle Bedford. The Eagles added a goal in the 14th minute to put a stop to the Lions scoring. The Lions then took control of the game to close out the half, scoring four goals, led by Laura Clymer, who scored two goals in the final six minutes of the half. The Lions led 7-2 at the end of the first half.

Bryn Athyn then dominated the play right from the start of the second half, as Sabrina Colbridge scored a goal in the 25ht minute. Emma Gross added a goal at the 23:52 mark to put the Lions up by seven, 9-2. Sabrina Colbridge added her third goal of the game to extend the lead with a goal assisted by Miranda Hyatt. Jessica Phillip closed out the Lions scoring with 2:54 left on a goal assisted by Sabrina Colbridge. The Lions rolled past the Eagles 11-3 to close out their season on high note.

The Lions were led by Emma Gross and Sabrina Colbridge with three goals apiece. Laura Clymer also added two goals in the Lions victory.  Anja Weisser made four saves with only seven shots on net.

Bryn Athyn ended their 2016 season missing the playoffs by one game. The Lions finished the season 4-8 overall and 3-6 in the NEAC.
