#2 Men's Ice Hockey Takes Down #9 Robert Morris

Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey game took down Robert Morris 5-3 in the first game of the Bryn Athyn Classic Saturday afternoon. 

Justin Nugent and Anthony Notofrancesco the Lions with one goal and one assist.  Paul Napierkowski, Billy Martin, Travis McCurdy all scored a goal for Bryn Athyn. 

The Lions went on the board first in the first two minutes of the game, Napierkowski scored off a pass from Notofrancesco from the right circle.  Martin added to the scoring with six minutes left in the first off the point to go into the break with a 2-0 lead.  

The Colonials scored two goals in the second period within the first 15 minutes to bring the game within one.  McCurdy scored off a break away from a loose puck pick up from the neutral zone by Johnson with three minutes left in the second period. 

Bryn Athyn came back in the third period on the offense scoring two quick goals with 10 minutes left in the game.  Nugent scored at 10:53 off a pass from Ben Silvers.  30 seconds later, Notofrancesco off a pass from Nugent to build their lead to 5-2.  Robert Morris scored a goal with seven minutes left in the game but wasn't enough to win. 

Steve Altman made 26 saves in net for the Lions.
