Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse team defeated College of St. Elizabeth, 19-7 in Tuesday afternoon action.
Five different Lions tallied goals in the win, led by Haley Schmucker and Emma Gross with five goals each. Sierra Asplundh and Erika Hyatt scored four goals a piece. Gage Blair scored a goal to add to the Bryn Athyn offense.
Bryn Athyn came game out of the gates scoring five unanswered goals within the first five minutes of the game. The Eagles got on the board at the 22:51 mark but the Lions continued to play the aggressor, forcing St. Elizabeth into several turnovers to take a 11-6 advantage at the half.

Despite one more second-half goal by the Eagles, the Lions' solid play in the midfield and on the defensive end prevented St. Elizabeth from finding offensive rhythm. Bryn Athyn would end the game with three goals to win, 19-7.
Karla Hyatt made four saves in net for the Lions.
Bryn Athyn returns to field tomorrow to take on Notre Dame of Maryland University for a 4:00 pm game time.
