Randolph, NJ. - The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team picked up their first DVCHC win of the season, against Centenary College 16-2 in Saturday night action.
Ray Norfo led the Lions with four goals and five assists. Blake McCurdy put in four goals.
Bryn Athyn scored eight seconds into the first period. Lions were up 4-0 before Centenary notched their first goal to chip away at the Bryn Athyn lead. At the end of the first period, BAC was up 5-1.
Centenary would only score one more time in the second period, off a 5-3 advantage power play. The Lions defense played strong the third period, by not letting in any goals. BAC out scored the Cyclones 9-0 in the third period.
Kyle Watters started the first period and only let in one goal. Steve Cappas started the second period and only let in one goal. Matthew Bartaini got the shutout in the third period and also notched an assist.
Coach Puscian expressed, " The team played well today, they started to gel more as the game went on. The team came out with heart and played hard, given it was our first game of the year."
The Lions head on road to face Northern Virginia CC and Maryland next weekend.
